This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I think I may just pull my stuff. I don't like it here. Got this comment posted about my work.
"So not only do you use models/textures/rigs that other people made, but you can't even claim originality to your poses? These do not belong in the 3d art section."
I've had some comments like that on another site I am part of but rarely submit work on; don't let them discourage your ideas, works or talent. It is opinions such as those that tend to take artists and beat them down to the point they give up.
Example? "You have no talent, you don't deserve to call yourself an artist; I'd suggest you find something else to do besides picking up a pencil."
That was a comment given to me by an art instructor when I submitted a piece that wasn't done to the letter as she wanted it. If I had listened, I would have left behind my passion-one that I have been doing since I could HOLD a pencil-and had been left bare, raw, and lost.
It's not for THEM that we, as artists, do anything worthwhile. It is for US-for OUR expression-for OUR passion.
IF other's like it-great. If not-so be it.
For me.... It's a way to let out the demons and voices in my head and breathe some life into them that my other mediums have not given me the opportunity. I'm damn good with a pencil, and with pen and ink, and will never give them up...but as 3D artists (which is a VERY WIDE spectrum; not just the makers of models, textures, ect; but the implimenters of such) we cannot let a few ideals such as the one that you've been given ruin our passion for what we do.
If you pull, I understand. Just remember, if you need me pm me on Daz or email me-carriondualities@yahoo.com.
*Hugs!*
